Have you ever heard the voice of the shells?
Have you ever looked down in the deep dark wells?
Have you ever creeped out of the bed in the night, to see the moon and the stars bright?
Have you ever seen colourful birds flying in the sky?
And wished that, like them, ever you could fly?
Have you ever climbed a tall palm tree?
Even in your office cubicle, realized you are free?
Have you ever stopped on the road, to listen to a beggar’s plight?
Have you ever seen white water birds taking flight?
Have you ever baked in the sun or bathed in the rain?
And wished to do all this… all over again?
Have you told your children that they are ‘the greatest daughter or son'?
Have you made fun of yourself… and made it your idea of fun?
Have you ever smiled when you wished to cry?
Have you lost a game and assured yourself ‘good try’?
Have you seen soap bubbles breaking away?
And realized that they are symbolic of the fading day?
In this haste, have you ever listened to the songs of the birds?
Have you ever tried to understand an infant’s words?
Have you ever appreciated your child’s work or dress of your wife?
Have you ever realized the uncertainty of life?
Have you ever taken out time to praise the nature?
Just considered one day at a time and forgot the future?
Have you thought why, to plan for the morning, you wasted a night?
Time is not enough even to love, so why fight?
Have you walked to the church without any wish or fear?
Have you ever stretched your hand to wipe your friend’s tears?
Have you ever taken out time to kiss your wife?
Have you enjoyed fully, this beautiful little life?
