We could have sat together
for hours
reading Sufi poems to each other
all night
Exhilarated by the age old wisdom
Soaking in the enchantments of the universe
The stars, moons, their paths and purposes
The hands touch, the bodies meet
The concreteness of the world
more graspable than the dust
of stellar treasures
Lets us be human for today
